FOR STUDENTS 15-19

Cool internship opportunities
are available through the:

Student Conservation Association,

Conservation Crew/High School Program
(CC) 4-5 week no-fee, volunteer opportunities for 15-19 year olds.

The Student Conservation Association offers one of the most challenging, exciting, and rewarding volunteer opportunities out there. You'll visit stunning areas, make fast friends, and complete a meaningful work project. Be aware, however, that this is not a vacation or a summer camp. You will need to commit a great deal of energy to get the most out of this 30-35 day summer experience.

Youth Conservation Corps

The Youth Conservation Corps is a summer employment program for young men and women, from all segments of society, who work, learn, and earn together by doing projects on public land. Since 1970, the Youth Conservation Corps program has operated as a work-earn-learn program for youth ages 15 through 18. The program is administered by the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Park Service.

FOR STUDENTS 18 and Over

Job and internship opportunities
are available through the:

Central California Consortium,

The Central California Consortium (CCC) is an environmental education based program sponsored by the USDA Forest Service. The focus of the program is to educate the underserved rural communities on natural resources. Currently the program has established Hispanic and Asian components with African-American and Native-American programs being established in the near future.

Student Conservation Association,

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the nation's leading provider of conservation service opportunities, outdoor skills and leadership training for young women and men.

Every year, in all 50 states, thousands of high school, college, graduate students and others join together through SCA to care for our national parks and forests, historic and cultural resources, and urban green spaces -- the benefits of which extend far beyond our environment:

California Conservation Corps.

The California Conservation Corps is the oldest, largest and longest running youth conservation corps in the World! More than 80,000 young men and women have worked more than 50 million hours to protect and enhance California's environment.
