photo houston and dustinThe past two weeks I have been back home. I took the first week off because it was my birthday on the tenth of April. I had probably the best birthday ever; I woke up that morning to find a cd outside of my bedroom door. It was Glen Campbell. I didn't understand at first, because I don't listen to that kind of music, but after reading the letter my mother had written to go along with the cd it brought tears to my eyes. On the cd was a song called "Houston (I'm coming to see you)," that's the song that my father listened to on the road (his favorite song) and that would also be what I was named after.

Later the day my mom tricked me, by telling me that I had to get all dressed up, because my mom, my sister and I were going to take pictures. Well, we did go to take pictures but then my boyfriend showed up to surprise me and took pictures with me also. Afterwards I found the reason for my getting all dressed up. My boyfriend took me to "Hazels" which is a seven-course restaurant in Modesto, CA. This was very new to me, but "good stuff." I had the best time. It was very nice and such a great night; it was so sweet. photo houston, ginger, and mallory

Then that weekend I went with my boyfriend and his family to go dirt bike riding at Clear Lake. My boyfriend rides dirt bikes for enduro races and does rather well, if I do say so myself. That weekend we got rained on though, and the race was canceled. But later on that day the rain let up and we went for a ride. Now I'm a beginner and I'm just learning how to ride a dirt bike. So needless to say while taking a sharp corner I ended up being thrown from the bike onto a bunch of rocks on the hillside. I messed up my left knee and shoulder and hurt my back and neck. That would be the reason for my staying home for the second week. But I had a good time nonetheless and was told that my accident look real good.
