Photo: Looking at Hald DomeNever say “never”. I recall the second day of my expedition when I was a WildLink student and I remember the time that I said with my broken English: “I’m never coming back to this place again!” Now two years later I am here again and ready to head out –again. That’s right, I am sad to say that I am leaving WildLink again. These three months having an excellent life and learning experience for me. I know I will miss everything that I experience here in Yosemite; from the views that I saw to the people that I met. Every second that I was here I enjoyed, maybe not all the seconds, but most of them. There were times that I missed my mother homemade cooking and the friends that ones were behind me. Now that I am leaving and I am beginning to missed the stunning Yosemite waterfall that I could see every day from the window of my room, the many faces Half Dome, the quiet and green Yosemite Valley meadows, the architecture of the historic houses [specially The Ranger Club] and the views that every time I see them it makes my heart sing. I know I will come back and every time I come something I will learn more.

Photo: Walking in Curry VillageMy last weeks here in Yosemite have being the best of all the weeks that I being here. I did my second expedition [Experditon 7] with the teens from Detroit and Harbor city [LA] and I was more ready then ever. Things went well; no kids were hurt, every one survived the 3 nights and 4 days in the wilderness. It is nice to see kids learning new things; like how use a compass when you are out in the woods, how to put s tent and how to know if the water quality is ok. I had fun with the students. The other cool thing about these passed weeks was the visit of my mother in Yosemite. That was a big even. She, my step-dad, cousin and a family friend came to Yosemite these passed weekend. They arrived in the busy Saturday. I was worry that they just head back home after being in the commotion of traffic here in the valley; at the end I found them and we took a “small walk in the park” For their first hike I took them up Yosemite falls. Then we went to the Leidig Meadow. The next day we went to see El Capitan. She was amazed of how immense the rock was. From there we head up tunnel view and the Bridal Veil Falls. The last visiting stop we did was the Vernal Falls. I took my parents and relatives throw the mist trail, it was great! I was amazed on how my parents walk throw every single trail we took. Hopefully we can continue visiting this park and making it like a tradition.

Well my friends, I think is time to say: See you later alligator, bye bye butterfly, see you soon raccoon, take care polar bear, out the door dinosaur!, adios, asta luego, asta pronto, arrivederci, bon au revoir, Gut bye. What ever you want to choose, everything means the same. I guess it’s time to take my hand out of this keyboard and to do something useful with my life.
