Umar's time in Yosemite has come to an end. Here's his last thoughts on his time here.

My last week in Yosemite.

When I first arrived here I didn't think I was going to like it . I didn't think I was going to like living here or some of the people that were here. I didn't think that I would like working with kids or staying in the ranger club. But now as I look back three months later --now I don't want to leave it seems like. The people here are cool when you get to know them, its fun living in the ranger club now, and I can't believe this but now I enjoy working with kids now no matter how bad they are. And I really enjoyed waking up every morning walking out the front door and looking up and seeing Yosemite falls that was so cool. So its been a wonderful experience for me. Every body here is so nice, everybody here knew me even though I didn't know them. And I have done so many things while I was here. I've been rock climbing, I've been out with rangers and I have been out with the bear crew so I have had the time of my life here in Yosemite.

I was just thinking about how did I end up in Yosemite? Three years ago I had never heard of Yosemite. Most people back home don't even know what or where Yosemite is. The best response I got when I told my friends that I was going to Yosemite was, "Is that in China?" I laughed and said, "Yes its in China." If you would have asked me three years ago I probably would had said the same thing. So I think God has really blessed me to be able to spend three months in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
