Wildlink Family Weekend 2002

"When we recieved the invitation in the mail I was so excited to be invited. I thought, "What a great opportunity!"

"We're so appreciative of this unique opportunity to spend time and share experiences with other families who are also trying to guide their children by providing meaningful, worthwhile, and life-changing activities. Thanks to WildLink!!!!"

"Everyday in Yosemite is different. Every person you meet has a story to tell. You'll never be bored. What a glorious time in nature's company!"

"It's great being in Yosemite, and snowshoeing isn't as hard as it seems, but when you play in the snow, make sure you know who you're playing with!"

"Being back in Yosemite is great. As we were driving through the Valley, Christy and I were reminiscing over all our silly little stories and inside jokes!"

"What a beautiful day! We went snowshoeing for the first time. We saw footprints of tree squirrels and a raven."

"The 'tree walk' was a highly impressive and educational experience. I now feel that I can identify the fifteen trees we studied, with a great degree of certainty. Conifers have always confused me and I am glad to have been offered this opportunity."

"We would just like to thank the WildLink Program, and Barb and Jamie for inviting us into this beautiful place. You hear many stories and see many pictures of Yosemite and all its wonders. But you really have to come and experience this place to truly appreciate its majesty."

"Today was a new and exciting experience for me. I learned about scat and the little jingle to it. I learned about how some trees grow in a spiral. I more importantly had fun. My highlight of the day was that I went right at the base of Yosemite Falls. What was cool was that it actually felt like it was raining down there!"

"Yosemite i unbelievable and something that cannot be described with words. Bringing my family here to this extraordinary new world is nothing but thrilling".

"The food was good and the people were nice and the scenery was Awesome. The day we went to the park we went on a ranger-led hike and I learned lots of different things about the wilderness."

"This is and has been a great experience. Being able to have family come made this trip a lot of fun. We are thankful for all the enthusiasm amongst all of you. As a family we do have opportunities to be near nature and to express our thankfulness to the maker of the universe. When we are in nature we truly recognize that God created all of this. Thank you for allowing us this time together and encouraging us to come back to Yosemite. Every part of this weekend has been wonderful, particularly the leaders!"

"The past two days were a great experiment for me and my son. Hopefully we will have lots of devoted people like you guys in this beautiful nature. Thank you for your work."

"When I came here I thought there were a lot of stars of Yosemite. I had fun."
