This is
why I came here:
It really is one of the most beautiful places this side of heaven.
There is this certain smell.
Clear, Crisp, everchanging.
The texture is amazing.
Rock, sand, tree, voices
You feel so small when in a place like this. The smallest pebble
swept from the highest precipice to valley, on to ocean.
Little grasses holding the thin fertile soil and reaching up
towards their creator.
This is what it was before “We” destroyed, and this
is why I came here.

Yosemite
is the most gorgeous place I have ever seen. Its beauty and
sense of purity is what draws it to me the most. Touched by
only a few, I was honored to explore all that Yosemite had to
offer.

I guess
I never realized how much wilderness was in the wilderness.
Sure, I see deer all the time at home-but what was really amazing
was looking to my right into a field and seeing it alive with
what I guess were these little field mice. It sounds crazy-but
I feel so close to everything here-close to the sky, animals,
all to nature. We seem to be following a stream-and that’s
awesome because I love water, the sight sound and feel of it-and
the constant raining we’ve had has just filled the creek
soooo much-I’m so happy to get to be serenaded to sleep
by it.

Nature always
makes me unnaturally poetic, as the green leaves, fresh smells,
and curious sounds bring out the best in people. I often find
myself staring at breathless sights, like the Yosemite mountains
and feel a certain feeling that can only be cured by writing.
It feels like my heart is swelling up inside, filling my throat
with a warm sensation that soon reaches my toes. I think it’s
my daily dose of peace. I can’t wait for tomorrow, when
I can take a breath of beauty again.
