Expedition
IV
WildLink
Expedition IV will take place from March 25-30, 2001. It will
include students from Divisadero Middle School, Sunnyside High School,
and Redwood High School. We are looking forward to seeing them in
Yosemite soon!
Family
Weekend
WildLink
Family Weekend, held on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday,
February 25, was a major success. Thirteen student alumni of WildLink,
the Environmental Science Academy, and Generation Green brought
their family members to the park for a weekend of fun and presentations.
We
at WildLink would like to thank all of our student alumni and their
families for attending as well as the two other program directors,
Jim Oftedal and Kathy Dimont, and all of the students and families
associated with Generation Green and the Environmental Science Academy.
We hope to see all of you again in Yosemite very soon!!

Yosemite
Winter Literary Conference Contest
The
First Annual Yosemite Winter Literary Conference was a wonderful
spiritual experience. We would like to thank the Yosemite Association
for holding such a superior event. We would also like to thank them
for sponsoring two scholarships for our contest winners to attend
the conference. Suzanne
and Aaron had an amazing
week and were kind enough to record their experiences in the campfire.
They were both recognized at the Wednesday night banquet in the
Solarium of the Ahwahnee Hotel for their accomplishment. Please
look at their winning entry: A
Spiritual, Philosophical, and Realistic Approach to the Sierra Nevada.
We
hope to have a photo essay of their experience at the literary conference
by next week.
Join
our Campfire
We
here at WildLink are pleased to announce a new feature to the
WildLink website. We have established online discussion boards in
the campfire section of the website, for students and the general
public. As of now, both campfire chats are secure and require registration.
Please register yourself for the campfire
and start chatting with your peers!
