I feel that the quote is saying that the wildrenss causes people to change the way they think. For the most part I believe that the quote is true. For most people seeing the wilderness and all of the untouched lansdscape would change them forever. Today was a really good hike. I’m glad to have gotten the first day over with since it was mostly steep up hill. The first day was the hardest. I’m sore on my shoulders from the pack. Overall today was good thanks in part to our leaders. The team has shown a lot of teamwork so I’m happy about that.

This expedition has made me appreciate the beauty and value of nature. This beautiful ladscape must be preserved.
