What are your fears and goals for the expedition?

My fear of this trip is; I don’t know. I’m not scared of anything happening. I’m really not afraid of anything around here. Because I know there are good people taking care of me. I am actually looking forward to the rest of the week. Also I’m not that nervous of anything either. I have a good group, and good leaders. It is just a whole lot of fun, being me right now. Actually, I am nervous about one thing, that I have a whole lot of work waiting for me at home. Right now, I’m just trying to forget about it and just have fun, take it easy and enjoy the sights.

How did it feel during the space walk to the cabin?

Traveling through and around a mile and a half of two feet of snow; now it was our turn to go down hill. Smooth sailing at that point. I was way pumped up, feeling the wet breeze touch my face. The sound of the tree, when the wind blown against it. I loved this kind of weather. I was feeling calm, but at the same point, I was excited. It had showed the previous night, so the brightest of the snow blinded my eyes when I fell from doing something new/stupid. I didn’t know how long the trail was. In the beginning I was all hyped up and excited. Trying fun was to walk on the white powdered substance. The trial was a little bit longer than I thought it was. Feeling the real weight of my bag, I started to slow down and I just kept on the track. Growing tired and feeling the pain of my feet, I slowed down every move. Seeing the smoke from the cabin brought new hopes. With new hope I ran for the cabin and collapsed in the powdered snow and I just relaxed in it.

What makes Yosemite sacred/special to you?

The mountains here are eye changing. Just try to take a glimpse at a mountain, it just can’t be done. You have to stand there for awhile, and just admire the beauty of the mountain. The setting is beautiful, surrounding the base up to the tip. The jaw dropping views, the hissing trees, the pouring streams makes this place more special than other places. It just comes all together, and looks amazing.
