How is your second time in the wilderness different? Do you feel different from last time? How have you changed in the last year?

My second time in the wilderness is different because there is a different trail and a different situation. On the first time in the wilderness there weren’t any bears or at least I didn’t see any. The scenery is different also.

I have changed. I changed the way I feel about ants. At first I didn’t care if they were around me but when I was writing in my journal I seen a couple of flying ants and one or two crawled in my shorts and bit me on my butt cheek.

Tree of Life

Students were asked to describe their lives as a tree: what are the roots that make them strong? Where do their branches lead...what direction do they want to go in their lives? What kind of tree would they be? Where would their tree thrive best? What is the trunk that helps them stand tall?

Branches: sports
Fruit: Family, friends
Roots: Self esteem, self esteem

The tree isn’t complete because I haven’t completed my journey yet.
