On May 9, 2007, three WildLink Ambassadors from the East branch of the Fresno Boys & Girls Club had the wonderful opportunity to take an outdoor activity indoors and rock climb at the Yosemite Fitness Indoor Climbing Gym. The ambassadors Rogelio, Danny and Francisco spent the evening at the gym learning skills and techniques that would get them up the wall while increasing their appreciation of the amount of challenging and fun activities one can find in the outdoors. With a taste of the sport that thousands of people come to Yosemite for, the WildLink ambassadors gained yet another perspective on what our public lands can offer us. Next Fall, WildLink Ambassadors from throughout the Central Valley will be invited to Yosemite Fitness in Fresno for a WildLink Climbing Event. Yosemite Fitness, the Central Valley’s first climbing gym, generously donated space and equipment for this activity.
