Wilderness is...

A place of total and complete solitude with nature. To me, it’s a place where one can truly experience and thus come to appreciate nature and its beauty. Wilderness also means that the area has not been revolutionized or gone under some industrial construction by humans. Wilderness is a space for humans to visit and explore.

Throughout this trip I have really learned to treasure the value of friendship. It is so amazing how close I’ve grown to the people from Vista High and the people in my own school, especially in such a short period of time. I really felt as if each of us has bonded with each other on this trip—on an emotional level and a physical level. All of us have gotten closer as we’ve braved struggles during our journey as well. I feel so incredibly close to all of you guys—Ashley Miguel Anndrea Yoland Nick Juana Wesley Belinda. I’m going to miss you guys so much, and I really hope that this experience has touched you all in the same way it has touched me.
